Current topics of discussion and commentaries:
- Why are timed rules needed
- often no additional court time is available after reserved court time
- there are no ties in tennis
- When does a point or a game begin and become in-progress
- the next point or game must be played when a time marker occurs after a point is completed and before play of the next point or game has begun
- this is to prevent gamesmanship and stalling, ensuring that competitive play decides a match and not the clock
- Review of the CDTA rules and procedures proposed for the 2020 Championship year
- Email to the CDTA providing them feedback on the proposed rules and procedures
- Critique of the new 9-10-2019 issue CDTA timed match rule (share the summary; take action!)
- the rule allows the clock to decide who wins a match, not competitive play
- How will players feel when they are on serve (or trading breaks) in a set, are ready to serve (or receive) down a game (e.g., set score 4-5), and are deemed to have lost the set when time reaches 15 minutes to the end of reserved time?
- How will players feel when they are on serve (or trading breaks) in a tiebreak, are ready to serve (or receive) down a point (e.g., point score 6-7), and are deemed to have lost the tiebreak when time reaches 5 minutes to the end of reserved time?
- the rule allows the clock to decide who wins a match, not competitive play
- Correspondence with Midwest regarding the CDTA timed match rule
- Correspondence with the CDTA about the Focus Group rules discussion and other topics
- Proposed procedures for use in timed matches (no-ad scoring for completion) (ad scoring for completion)
- Format for the 40&O age division
- the USTA has defined the following format profile for Adult leagues beginning Championship year 2020:
- 18&O: 2 singles, 3 doubles
- 40&O: 1 singles, 3 doubles
- 55&O: 0 singles, 3 doubles
- the USTA has defined the following format profile for Adult leagues beginning Championship year 2020:
- Defaults position statement: a discussion about the impact of defaults and tips for how to avoid them
- Discussion: When requested by a or the players on court, may a captain provide them information
- Discussion: Season team application deadlines and timeline; seasons lengths

Wherever you are, just walk in say "Shrink, You can get anything you want, at Alice's restaurant." And walk out. You know, if one person, just one person does it they may think he's really sick and they won't take him.
And if two people, two people do it, in harmony, they may think they're both f----ts and they won't take either of them.
And three people do it, three, can you imagine, three people walking in, singin' a bar of Alice's Restaurant and walking out. They may think it's an organization.
And can you, can you imagine fifty people a day, I said fifty people a day walking in singin' a bar of Alice's Restaurant and walking out. And friends, they may think it's a movement.
And that's what it is, the Alice's Restaurant Anti-Massacre Movement, and all you got to do to join is sing it the next time it come's around on the guitar.
